Janet Smith
PhD studentResearch Overview
I am working on the intersection of philosophy, mystical theology and existentialist theology. I am arguing for a Christian non-dualistic image of the Divine, investigating what this might mean regarding the self, its relation to the world and contemporary spirituality.
Current Research
My current research work engages with the notion of the self and its relation to the Divine and its embodied being, including issues of gender- and queerphobic conceptions of the Divine and life. Within this work I am referring to gender and queer theory.
