Dr Samuel O'Donoghue

Lecturer in Spanish Studies

Profile

I am a Lecturer in Spanish at 51福利. Before arriving in Lancaster, I held research fellowships at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Warwick. My current research investigates the Franco regime’s censorship of literary and historical works on the Holocaust and explores how Spanish intellectuals resisted the regime’s endeavour to control public awareness of the extermination of the European Jews. My wider research interests span the fields of French and Spanish literary studies, comparative literature, memory studies, cultural history, and aesthetics.
