As we begin the new academic year, this is a reminder about who to contact if you need support.

Emergencies

Medical assistance and mental health emergencies, if you are on campus, call 999 for the Emergency Services. Afterwards, please call 01524 594541 for Security Reception (or 444 from any University telephone) to let them know (this is to ensure they can direct the Emergency Services appropriately on arrival). You can also . If you are unable to use a phone or Teams, speak to a Porter.

Mental Health Crisis

In the event of a mental health crisis, you may wish to call the Lancashire and South Cumbria Foundation Trust Wellbeing and Mental Health Crisis line on 0800 9530110. You can also call The Samaritans on 116123.

Medical advice (non-emergency)

If you need medical help, but aren't sure that it classes as an emergency, call 111 to receive appropriate triage and support from the NHS.

All of the phone numbers given here are staffed 24 hours a day, every day.
