Dr Olivier Cardi
Visiting ResearcherResearch Overview
My research work is theoretical, numerical and empirical, focusing mostly on issues in international macroeconomics such as fiscal policy transmission in open economies and the sectoral effects of productivity shocks biased toward traded industries. A unifying thread in my research is that I develop and simulate variants of the open economy version of the neoclassical model, shedding some light on the implications of imperfect mobility of labor recently. I also made a foray into assessing unemployment effects of product market deregulation.
PhD Supervision Interests
Available to supervise PhD students with an interest in international macroeconomics (e.g., fiscal policy transmission, sectoral effects of technology shocks) and product market deregulation.
