Profile

Andreas is Associate Professor in International Strategy. He completed a doctorate at Innsbruck University in 2012 where he also worked as a post-doctoral researcher before joining 51福利 Management School in 2019. Andreas is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

Andreas’ research, teaching and consulting activities focus on the topics at the intersection of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership. More specifically, he is interested in the antecedents and consequences of entrepreneurial strategizing practices and in strategies securing innovation related resources such as Mergers and Acquisitions. His research focuses particularly on SMEs and family business contexts. Andreas’ research research has appeared in journals like Journal of World Business, Long Range Planning, International Small Business Journal, Group & Organization Management and R&D Management. His research has also received recognition in the field. Among others, Andreas’ research was awarded the 2017 Outstanding Paper Award by the journal Group & Organization Management and the Most Inspirational Paper Award from the International Management Strategic Interest Group of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) in 2015. Andreas serves as an Associate Editor for the European Management Journal and as a member of the editorial board of Long Range Planning. Andreas is a member of Centre for Family Business and the Centre for Scholarship and Innovation in Management Educationat at LUMS.
