Attractive pedestrian routes onto campus

There is a choice of attractive off-road walking and cycling routes between the University and Lancaster. The long-established route via Bailrigg Village leaves campus near LICA, whilst the newer path via Lake Carter and the Health Innovation Campus provides a more direct route to South Campus.

Chapel Lane provides a peaceful and pleasant walking route from Galgate.

Woodland Walk and Trim Trail

The 150 year old woodland that surrounds campus is accessible to students, staff and local residents and is home to 2.6 miles of Trim Trail. A stretch of outdoor exercise stations with several points to hop on or off... But it's also great for a nice relaxed stroll to stretch your legs.
